I Am the Lesbian Catnip is the 2024 newest seriocomic show about Lyralen Kaye’s decision to leave their 35 year marriage and enter the world of internet dating. Hilarity ensues over suppressed sexuality and dating faux pas as one woman after another screws up nonbinary pronouns. Performance date, time and venue: TBA.
Many Trump Refugees in One Body, (formerly My Preferred Pronoun Is We), has performed in Boston, Hollywood, San Francisco and Brighton UK. It won the San Francisco Best in Fringe and Techie Best in Fringe and was a finalist in Hollywood for the Soaring Solo Artist Award. Lyralen is available to perform this show in theaters, colleges and at events.
“My Preferred Pronoun Is WE, a supposedly solo show, tells the hilarious story of activist Lyralen Kaye’s panicked flight to Canada, their immigration struggles with attorneys, border workers and red tape, and their much loved (and change averse) partner’s desire to keep their job at Harvard. Most radically, it shows the relationships and conflicts inside Lyralen as they search for acceptance in a new country, facing down stigma and refusing to be othered with more than a little bit of attitude.
